Unveiling this plan, Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Tuesday that “we do not come today on the field of this match with a Catch What You Can – like list of wishes called the electoral program, instead we come with an action plan that is well studied and consolidated and is ready to be implemented through the financial support already earmarked, because we are the government of today and tomorrow, not like Catch What You Can.

In this regard, Rama said that one of the items on this plan is for English to included on curricula everywhere from the first grade of primary education, enabling all the children to learn English and the skills of digital communication.

“This move is intended to prepare the next decade generation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics,” said Rama.

Prime Minister stressed that based on the first model set up in Tirana, which will be further developed at the “Pyramid” of the dictator converted into the hub of the future Albania, we will open the coding program for 12-18 year olds, specialized centers that equip children will computer science fundamentals, its gravity and knowledge about the interactions within it.

“The first center is in Tirana, others will be set up in Shkodra, Vlora, Dibra, Korca, Kukes, Berat and step by step we will expand their networking throughout Albania.”

Prime Minister also informed about a national program on the art of crafts in schools, to exercise the mind and hands in the necessary and vital effort to ensure that the virtual world of iphone and ipad will not hold the mind, senses and body of children back.
Physical education and extracurricular sports, according to Rama, will also take precedence.
