Prime Minister Edi Rama announced on Thursday that every employee with a salary up to 40 thousand ALL will pay zero taxes from April 1.

The law “On income tax” stipulates that for salaries up to 50 thousand ALL income tax is cut by half, from 13% to 6.5%.

This measure ensures that citizens with lower income pay less in income tax.
Also, from April 1, 23% tax will be applied for salaries over 200,000 ALL / month compared to 150,000 ALL/month it is applied currently.
