In a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of Finland, Sanna Marin, Rama said that “these are two countries that in every aspect are an added value for the North Atlantic Alliance.”

“Moreover, in today’s circumstances, the doors of NATO must be thrown open to welcome Finland and Sweden. We feel privileged to have the opportunity to do something for Finland and that is not a small thing.”

The Prime Minister also stressed that “together with Finland we are on a front against Russian aggression in Ukraine.”

“Finland has a lot to show and a lot to teach us and everyone else because of its history and position it knows very well the aggressor and its nature given that it has had in the past the opportunity to draw many lessons from the neighborhood with Russia, ” added Rama.

He also said that Finland has a very respectful voice to understand how important is the resistance and the connection that some do not want to make between what is happening in Ukraine and what is happening elsewhere and what can come this way.

“In this context, the Balkans is a weak and fragile link therefore experience and word of Finland is very important to the whole community,” he added. /j.p/sm/
