TIRANA, Oct 18 /ATA/PM Edi Rama stated on Monday that the vaccinators will continue to stay in the university halls to administer the vaccine on the students.

During a televised interview, Rama said that it is up to the rectors of the Universities to decide whether or not to allow the unvaccinated students into the auditoriums, but he stressed that students should not go to the auditorium like in a lottery.

“I think we should not go to extremes because this is a process fraught with a lot of interference from people who are given the right to speak although they lack the expertise in this topic and spread various conspiracy theories,” Rama said.

Prime Minister went on saying that this process should be conducted with perseverance by the Universities and Rectors making use of a few weeks ahead.

“Many of those girls and boys who are students need even a little encouragement, security or support. Vaccinators will be available in university halls. The unvaccinated should not attend the classes, but it is up to authorities because the government cannot send forces to the university to stop them. This is not the mission of the government. Rectors are aware that this process must be carried out. It is the right of those who have been vaccinated to stay in a safe environment and the Ministry of Education itself will continue day to day to sensitize the students about importance of inoculation, ” Rama said.

Prime Minister also spoke about the vaccination trend in the country. He stressed that a liberal policy has been pursued given that the vaccine was secured very quickly.

“Everything went smoothly. Summer saw a low number of infections. This has brought some sort of relief among the people, in the meantime infection is far from over, ” Rama said.

According to Prime Minister Rama, those unvaccinated account for over 95% of fatalities. /a.a/sm/
