According to the Prime Minister’s press office, during his visit to Italy, he will meet with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, followed by a discussion with Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto.

As part of his visit, Prime Minister Rama will attend, at the invitation of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, the fourth session of the “Defending Democracy” Summit, which will be held in Barcelona, Spain.

The summit will focus on key topics including “Institutions and Multilateralism” and “Disinformation and Digital Technology.” A particular focus will be placed on regulating the digital space to combat disinformation, strengthening democratic institutions, advancing multilateralism, and tackling inequalities as essential elements for building a resilient democracy.

As part of the Summit, Prime Minister Rama will also hold bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Sánchez and European Council President António Costa.
