In a media briefing from the headquarters of the SP, after the meeting of the National Assembly, Rama spoke about the process of electing the new president.

“We have kickstarted a process, meanwhile a team has been mandated by the SP leadership to open a communication channel with parties, groups, individuals in the Albanian Parliament, who represent the other side.”

Asked if Lulzim Basha could be a candidate for president, Rama said that “Lulzim Basha is likely to become president of the Republic with the votes of this majority as much as Sali Berisha is likely to win an ‘Oscar’ award with the support of syriqimit.net.”

The Prime Minister also informed that the SP has just finished a meeting of the National Assembly on the eve of the Congress, which will take place in an extraordinary context.

“This Congress will have a new format to serve the purpose of opening up and addressing the most pressing issues in this time like no other.”
