“In this new chapter, among many others, we have a tremendous need to reinvent ourselves. And in doing so, we are here for the third term in a row and we must continue to do so. We do not have a credible, stable, or understandable opposition. In front of us there is a destructive power, born out of the woes of two people, a great destructive power, for the sake of truth. But that power is not a threat to us at all. Our threat is us, it is our mistakes and faults at all levels,” Prime Minister Rama said, during a meeting with the new leaders of the SP, in 61 municipalities of the country.

Rama said that the upcoming local elections are very important for a thousand reasons.

“These are the elections in which the party must play an even bigger role than before. We must mobilize and step by step develop a process within the party, which will set the stage for the party to start functioning as a spokesperson and as someone seeking accountability on behalf of the people,” he added.

The Prime Minister emphasized that whoever fails to perform will have to leave.
“Fortunately, we have created a human resources base, where you are not the only candidate, but selected among several candidates, for the reason that the current judgment is that you are the right one at this moment. Yet, you have to prove this judgment right day to day,” he said.
