TIRANA, May 12 /ATA/ – -Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed his gratitude and thanked the nurses on Wednesday for all their commitment during the period of coping with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking at a meeting with nurses on the occasion of World Nurses Day, Rama said, “As a matter of fact, we have talked continuously between us about every tragic case of fatality among the medical staff and were tempted to pay the last respects, but in the end we decided to pay the tribute at the end of this war. ”

“And therefore I am very grateful to the Order of Nurses for this opportunity to humbly honor and express deep gratitude to all those who are no longer among you and at the same time to use this opportunity to convey to all of you the most sincere expression of respect and gratitude. You know better than anyone else that each one of you and all of you who are not here today, could be one of those who could not win the battle with the invisible enemy in their body. And that certainly makes your resistance and perseverance of each and every one of you extremely valuable in this unprecedented war of nerves, that forced you as Ogerta said, to leave your families behind and deprive you of normal contacts to keep your families safe and take care of those who would have found it impossible to win this battle without you on their side.”

Therefore, Prime Minister Rama underlined, “allow me to tell you from the very beginning, although the words in this case are not enough, from the bottom of my heart a very, very big thank you to all and all of you who are here and for him all and all your colleagues who are not here today with us due to their duty. /j.p/sm/
