This is what Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Thursday at a news briefing from the SP seat.

Rama responded to the journalists after the news published by a British media outlet about the negotiations between the British and the Albanian government.

“Albania will never be a country where very rich countries will set up asylum-processing centres for their migrants. Such a thing will never happen,” said Rama.

According to “The Times”, migrants trying to go to Britain can be accommodated in an asylum processing center in Albania.

“The Times” writes that Ministers are hoping to seal an agreement to fly Channel-crossing migrants to Albania as a central measure to end the crisis.

Under the plan, arrivals on Britain’s beaches in small boats would be taken to the country within seven days for off-shore processing.
