Rama shared on social networks images from the meeting with Guterres, which touched on the program and priorities during the Albanian Presidency of the UN Security Council.

“Proud of Albania which will take over the presidency of the UN Security Council tomorrow, for the first time in history and inconceivable until a few years ago. With the Secretary General for the program and priorities during the Albanian Presidency of the UN Security Council,” Rama says.

Prime Minister Edi Rama and Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Olta Xhaçka are in the United States of America, in the framework of Albania’s Presidency of the UN Security Council (June 1 – June 30, 2022).

On June 2, Prime Minister Rama will preside over the high-level debate of the Security Council on international accountability, as one of the priorities of our country in the Security Council, accentuated by Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
