Prime Minister Edi Rama hosted Kallas in a meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office, where she was joined by Silvio Gonzato, the Ambassador of the EU Delegation in Tirana.

The Albanian delegation at the meeting also included Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, who also serves as the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani, and Minister of State and Chief Negotiator for Albania’s EU accession, Majlinda Dhuka.

In addition to meetings with the country’s high-level officials, Kallas will participate in the Albania-EU dialogue forum on security policy and later attend the agreement signing ceremony with the European Investment Bank.
The official visit to Albania is part of a Balkans tour that includes meetings in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This is Kallas’ first visit since taking office as the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
