During the meeting, Mr Ahmeti expressed his gratitude for the steadfast support extended by the Republic of Albania and Prime Minister Edi Rama in advancing the European integration process of North Macedonia.

He described this support as genuine and crucial for the region’s collective future within the European Union.
“The European future cannot be built in silos,” emphasised Ahmeti, adding that Albania is already moving down an irreversible path towards membership and that North Macedonia must also be an integral part of this process.

The meeting addressed several critical topics, such as significant challenges facing the Ohrid Agreement, recent developments in interethnic relations within the country, and the imperative of enhancing bilateral state relations between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Albania.

Ahmeti highlighted that genuine collaboration and unified political positions lay the groundworks for building a stable and future-oriented region.
“This meeting was conducted with sincerity, marked by significant political substance and a spirit of fraternity, centred on the principles of equality and the European perspective. I wish to express my sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Rama for his steadfast support of North Macedonia’s efforts towards equality and European integration,” Mr Ahmeti stated.
