In a message posted on the “X” platform, Rama highlighted that President Macron’s stance on the Western Balkans has significantly strengthened the ties between the two countries, bringing them to an unprecedented level.

“My heartfelt thanks to you, dear Emmanuel, for your congratulatory message, which holds great significance not only for me personally but also for the relationship between Albania and France. Because of your commitment and approach to the Western Balkans, our bilateral ties have reached an unprecedented level,” Rama said.

“It is truly wonderful that Albania has the honor of welcoming you once again as a cherished friend on the occasion of the European Political Community Summit, and that you will remain with us afterward to reflect on our close cooperation. Welcome, dear friend!” Rama wrote on the “X” platform.

Earlier, in a congratulatory message for the May 11 election victory, President Macron assured Prime Minister Rama that “France will always stand by Albania on its path toward the European Union.”
