Calling this agreement a good news, Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the road was redesigned almost from scratch after a typical design of the time when roads were left unfinished.

According to him, “the fund that will be allocated through this agreement enables the completion of the second part of the road, 43.4 km at length.”

Rama said that “this work entails the construction of a large number of retaining walls, over 20 bridges, 2 tunnels built at lengths of 850 m and 350 m, together with the emergency tunnel.”

“Once the construction of the road segment Qukës-Qafë Plloçë is completed, the travel time on the national axis Tirana-Korçë will be shortened by about an hour, and another wonderful area of Albania, Mokra, will be discovered with all its agricultural potential and agritourism,” said the Prime Minister.
