In his remarks, Rama said that the income tax on all those earning up to ALL 2.5 mln per month will be slashed.

“We have noticed that it is not easy for the other part, the category that gets higher salaries due to qualifications to be in the band of the highest progressive tax rate. So we will slash the income tax on category from 1.2 up to 2.5. We will remove this category from the band of the highest progressive tax rate and reduce the income tax on monthly earnings from 1.2 to 2.5, the category that bears a significant burden. And this will take effect on January 1, 2022, ” said Rama.

Prime Minister Rama said that, “we will not increase the salary of ministers and MPs, just as we have not increased them since the first day of our first term of office and will not reduce the profit tax on the rich. It has been, is and will be 15% until 2025. ”

“No way shall we run counter to the basic principles of our government philosophy, whoever wins more should pay more, whoever wins less should pay less for the sake of getting more votes, ” said Rama.
