Prime Minister Edi Rama has published on Tuesday photos from the new Pediatrics, which already offers a quality health service for all young patients.

“Good morning and with the new Pediatrics in Fier Hospital, which provides much friendlier and better health service for all young patients, I wish you a lovely day ahead,” said Rama.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection continues to invest in the pediatric system in the country. Another pediatric hospital is nearing completion, the children’s hospital of Elbasan, while work continues on the second phase of the major investment in the Pediatrics of QSUT (Tirana University Hospital Centre).

Some of the investments made in the health sector are Fier Regional Memorial Hospital, Internal Medicine Hospital at QSUT, New Pediatrics QSUT, New Pediatrics in Elbasan, New Lezha Maternity Hospital, New Berat Maternity Hospital, Kukes Hospital, 300 health centers, new fleet of ambulances, network of new laboratories in 18 hospitals, new mammography in Fier and Shkodra, in the new Outpatient Clinic of Tirana, new fleet of bio-medical devices, New MRI equipment in Korça hospital , the new Cardiac Surgery Ward in the “Shefqet Ndroqi” hospital, the new hospital of Laç, the Maternity Hospital “Queen Geraldine.”

During 2022, investments will increase by ALL 3 billion in the health sector. The 2022 budget for health care is 7 billion ALL more or, 12.6% compared to the preliminary budget plan of 2021.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared an image of the new Pediatric Hospital of Tirana, a long-awaited investment in health care.

“Good morning and with the new Pediatric Hospital of Tirana that will open soon, a long-awaited investment that takes to a whole new level the standard of medical service for children, I wish you a good day,” said Rama.

The new Pediatric Hospital is part of the Tirana University Hospital Centre modernization project, together with the new Surgery Hospital already completed and the new Internal Medicine Hospital.

The new Pediatric Hospital of Tirana, a modern construction that has completed, will be set to operation once it is fully furnished. Services include intensive care unit, four operating rooms up to the standards in terms of pediatric services, while capacity has increased to 500 bedding units.

This investment serves not only Tirana but all of Albania as a reference center that offers specialized services./m.m/sm/
