In a meeting with the youth of Shkodra to introduce the new team for Albania’s EU accession, Rama asked, “Can there still be a discussion about what and how we should vote on May 11, when, in reality, this is the right time, the right place, and we are the force present in this country and at this moment?!”
“You might have a hundred doubts about us, you might have a lot of criticisms, you might refuse to hear the word ‘socialist,’ or you might be a fervent DP supporter, but none of that matters. This is similar to when, for the first time, a majority voted for the Democratic Party in 1992. Not everyone supported the DP, and many were not with them at all, but the timing was right, the place was right, and it was the force that stood there to facilitate the final break from the old system and usher in a new era,” emphasized Rama.

The Prime Minister remarked, “Over the past 10 years, we have received more than 1 billion euros from the EU, with 90% in loans and 10% in grants. Upon joining the EU, we will receive over 1 billion each year, with 90% in grants and 10% in loans.”
