Rama said that today exports have increased fourfold and cultivated land surface area has doubled.

“The land cultivated today in Albania has expanded twofold compared to seven years ago. From 120,000 hectares, the surface of cultivated area has expanded to 230-235 thousand hectares,” said Rama.

“When we took office, the imports-exports ratio was 1:7, today it is 1:3. Imports have dropped by half, exports have increased. Local market is dominated by domestic production. Agricultural exports were $ 100 million, today they have gone up to $ 400 million. Our exports target plan is 1 billion by 2025. You are aware of the low number of collection points for local products in the past. Today 183, 30 of them are still in process, others are in operation. The relationship between the collector and the farmer has been restructured,” Rama said.
