During an inspection visit to this construction site, Prime Minister Edi Rama, said that thanks to public and private investments, the quality of air and life in Durrës will improve exponentially.

“Through the main investment worth 2 billion euros in Durres city, this city will be put on the map of the Mediterranean as one of the main gateways,” said Rama.

Speaking about the new neighborhood under construction in Spitalla, Rama said that this will be a super model and the most beautiful neighborhood of Durrës, as everything will be built based on a plan. Even the infrastructure, Rama said, will be built up to European standards.

“The neighborhood will have everything, the necessary parking spaces, a school, kindergarten, daycare, sports center and health center and once it is connected to the highway, this residential neighborhood on the city’s border will become much more preferable from an environmental point of view. With the ecopark, economic zone and solar power park to be built, the university campus and the new stadium, it is all about a whole new world developing on these foundations. Within the next spring, this will be a reality, it will no longer be a construction site in progress,” Prime Minister declared.

For his part, Minister of State for Reconstruction, Arben Ahmetaj, said that reconstruction in the municipality of Durres continues apace.
