TIRANA, March 15 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama proceeded with the presentation of the Socialist Party’s candidates for the May 11 parliamentary elections, starting with those from Shkodra.

In the exclusive episode “A New Party for Albania in the EU” of his podcast “Flasim,” Rama introduced 9 candidates, referring to them as the driving force behind the transformation of Shkodra.

Vera Ndreca, Marjana Koçeku, Kejsi Spahija, Xheni Çela, Besmir Lezha, Onid Bejleri, Holta Duda, Marjan Ndërshtiqaj, and Bujar Rexha are among the new candidates for deputies in Shkodra.

“Give your trust to the youngest and most beautiful team Shkodra has ever had,” Rama said.

He also focused on the latest investments in the area, mentioning the Dukagjin and Koman roads.

Rama stated, “The people of Shkodra must clearly discern the difference.”

“After 30 years, they took a step forward, changed course, and are now enjoying the rewards. Benet Beci is not only doing outstanding work but has also fostered a very positive environment, where young men and women who were previously distant from politics or administration now have the chance to offer something entirely new. If they give us their vote of confidence, they will serve both themselves and Shkodra far more than we ever could,” said Rama.

Vera Ndreca, educated in the United Kingdom, is the author of several scientific articles and works on improving higher education in Albania. At Cardiff University in the UK, she established an Albanian language school with the aim of providing every Albanian with the opportunity to inherit the beautiful Albanian language.

Marjana Koçeku, known as “Neomalsorja” and a candidate on the closed list for Shkodra, spoke about her life in Prime Minister Rama’s podcast, as well as her journey towards getting involved in politics. “Neomalsorja” shared that she comes from a large, traditional family in the mountains of Dukagjin.

Bujar Rexha, one of the candidates from the diaspora, says that while he is physically abroad, each person’s mind remains in Albania.

“I am determined to contribute to the people of Malësia e Madhe. I have several challenges, including property registration, in order to pave the way for investments from emigrants abroad,” said Rexha.

The Prime Minister informed that this situation has now been resolved, as the law “On the Mountain Package” has been approved, allowing investment in mountainous areas even when the investor does not have land tenure.
