Addressing protesters on “Dëshmorët e Kombit” boulevard in front of the Prime Minister’s office, Berisha stated, “We are today stronger and more determined than ever in our mission to overthrow this narco-dictatorship, just as we did with its founders 35 years ago.”

According to Berisha, the nation is at its most critical moment.

“By making a farce out of the elections—funding thousands of illegal activities during the campaign period with public money, arresting key opposition leaders, exploiting cartel drug shipments, converting state officials into enforcers against free voting, and forgiving €2 billion in fines and interest solely to protect his own position—he, in an unprecedented act of revenge, sought to shut down every avenue for the opposition. He assumed his vision of an Albania without opposition could now be realised,” Berisha said.

“Over the past ten years under this regime, Albanians have faced a population decline surpassing that caused by any epidemic, invasion, famine, or other calamity. In just a decade, under this regime the birth rates have slipped back by a century,” the Democratic Party leader continued.

According to Berisha, Prime Minister Edi Rama cannot be unseated through elections.

“Rama will not leave office by means of the ballot box or the justice system. It will be us—the opposition and the people—who will remove him. Some may naively believe he can be unseated through justice, but that will never happen. He is ready to use those 84 parliamentary seats as instruments of crime against justice, against citizens, and against the law. If not through votes or justice, it will be the citizens, the idealists, and the brave who will hand him over to historical shame,” Berisha stated.
