TIRANA, July 5 /ATA/ On Saturday, Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke on the X platform about the problem of sidewalks and streets being blocked in the capital. He shared several photos illustrating what he described as a common case of “occupied land” in Tirana.

Rama described the situation at 21 Dhjetori in Tirana as a typical example of “occupied land.” He warned that anyone who fails to remove the barricades they have placed in public spaces—ranging from tables and refrigerators on sidewalks to walls or beams resembling “customs” around buildings—will face not only the applicable fines but also criminal charges for damaging public property, endangering citizens’ health and safety, and other consequences.

The Prime Minister stressed that now is the moment for everyone to unite in the spirit of living together in the same neighborhood: the majority taking back what rightfully belongs to them, and the minority giving back what does not.
