TIRANA, May 9 /ATA/ Farmers in the village of Drenovica, the administrative unit of Dimal, in the region of Berat, have increased their agricultural activity, while in recent years they have expanded investments in greenhouses.

Prime Minister Edi Rama published on Monday, a view from the village of Drenovica, where you can see vast fields “sown with” greenhouses and where every inch of land in this area seems to be planted with trees and other agricultural products.

“These views from Drenovica of Berat reflect harding-working Albania, which even in these difficult months exacerbated by the repercussions of the war in Ukraine, has continued to increase agricultural products and exports,” said Rama.

Drenovica is one of the most fertile areas, which also records the largest export in the market for greenhouse products.
Agricultural subsidy schemes and the IPARD program are clear evidence of the growth and development of agriculture, in the support they address to farmers and enterprises operating in this sector.

With the support of ARDA, 78 new modern high-tech solar greenhouses have been built in the last year in 12 municipalities of the country, some of which have been transformed into larger greenhouse complexes compared to the countries of the region. Specifically for the cultivation of vegetable seedlings, or even the production of fresh vegetables, such as those in Fier, Berat, Lushnjë and Divjakë.

With the support of ARDA through the IPARD Program, in addition to tax-free oil, farmers have also been supported to invest in the construction of solar-driven automatic greenhouses, which has boosted employment, increased production for export and increased income for rural households./ m.m // e.xh // a.a /sm/
