Rama said in a conversation with the media, from Kotor, Montenegro, where he participated in the Summit of Western Balkan leaders with EU representatives, for the growth plan, that the relationship with Italy is a different story and cannot be replicated with other places. He went on saying that there have been expressions of interest either from Great Britain or other countries.

“There was an expression of interest on the part of Great Britain and not only, but also some other countries regarding this and not after, but also before our agreement with Italy was signed, my answer was a clear “NO” and remains a flat refusal. Italy is a different story and it is a different reality in the picture of our friendly relations and our international relations, so I have explained all the reasons why Italy stands distinctly above all the rest,” said Rama.
