Speaking at a joint press conference by the Albanian and Italian prosecutors on the international drug trafficking operation, De Raho stated that “a major objective was accomplished today.”

“I would like to congratulate the Head of SPAK, Arben Kraja. The operation that SPAK is pressing ahead for a long time now, since Kraja took over SPAK, is of a special importance. I would like to underline that the today’s operation is a follow-up of the operation launched few months ago.”

De Raho praised “the intense, close and constant cooperation between Albania and Italy.”

“I would like to underscore that we have long had the responsibility to cooperate with the respect connecting the two offices to deliver extraordinary results. Today we accomplished an objective that shows how together we manage to pursue aspects related to the ‘infidelity’ of some institutions, about which our countries must pay special attention. We have constantly exchanged information. Our Italy-Albania cooperation consists of strengthening the structures tasked with fighting organized crime. I would like to praise the Italian Anti-Mafia Investigation Directorate and the Albanian police who have accomplished an incredible mission, dismantling an international drug trafficking organization. We will keep operating together,” Raho said.
