Kurti’s press office said that the purpose of the meeting was “information and coordination on current topics.”

According to the press release, PM Kurti and the QUINT ambassadors discussed Kosovo’s bid to join the Council of Europe.

“Prime Minister Kurti thanked the QUINT countries for their continued support and informed them about the steps our country is taking in this process, addressing the recommendations from the Report of Eminent Jurists. The Prime Minister stated that we expect progress in the membership process, as a necessity for the further strengthening of justice and the rule of law, and the protection of human rights of all communities in Kosovo,” Kurti’s office said.

“Met with the QUINT ambassadors today to discuss Kosovo’s process towards the Council of Europe membership.

PRISHTINA, May 29 /ATA/ – Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that protests in the country’s northern municipalities were not peaceful, but they were staged by crowds of extremists controlled and directed by official Belgrade.

PM Kurti issued such a statement in the presence of the ambassadors of the QUINT countries on Monday afternoon

“Serbian nationalistic and chauvinist and pro-Kremlin graffiti painted by masked extremists who target, vandalize and attack any non-Serb things is the main indicator of the motives behind the violent actions that should be strongly condemned by everyone,” Kosovo government said in a press statement.

“Informing QUINT ambassadors on the situation in the country’s north and today’s developments there, PM Kurti underlined the need for de-escalation and expressed readiness to work with QUINT countries in this respect,” Kurti’s office said.
