During a TV interview on the National Consultation questionnaire, PM Rama said that, “This is the first Consultation and of course we have many things that we will have to understand and learn from this experience, which we want to make it annual and we will definitely improve it year by year by drawing the necessary lessons”.

“It is an anonymous questionnaire. So, there is no kind of identification of citizens that will have their say”, said PM Rama.

“The envelopes that are sent to every house and continue to be sent are nameless. Of course, it is reasonable to think that the forms or questionnaires should be filled in by the older people, while the younger ones can do this online on the platform where until yesterday there were about 36 thousand people “, said PM Rama.

Rama said that “governance is a process that never ends”.

“Mandates end, governments change, prime ministers change, governance never ends. I think it is good news that despite the fact that we have now entered the third term like no one before, we are constantly looking for improvement, looking to expand the ways of communication with people, looking to strengthen the bridges between government and citizens. So this is good news. This means I’ve never loved routine; I’ve always had a phobia, of routine, of inertia, of not changing. And this is a change “, said Rama.

“We do have the votes in the Parliament to take the decisions. At least, the most of them. But, once you find that for a certain issue, most citizens are against, then it is stupid to approve it. On the contrary, it reinforces the belief in different opinions. If you have a look at all the questions raised, they are decision-making dilemmas; they are not issues about which we want to find an excuse or we want to use the citizens”, Rama continued.

Rama underlined that, “In this case, it is not a camouflaged referendum, but it is really a popular consultation because in fact on the table of every house are placed a series of dilemmas in decision-making on the progress of a series of aspects of daily life that are directly related to the people./p.s./
