TIRANA, February 13/ATA/- During a conversation with residents of the city of Tirana, the Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that, work on rebuilding from scratch all the individual houses damaged by the strong earthquake that hit the country on November 26, 2019 will be completed within September.

“The quake-affected areas will be evidence of radical transformation,” the Prime Minister Rama said while noting that the quake-hit schools are being built and the new facilities are incomparable with the old ones.

“With regard to the individual houses, all the affected households will enter their newly built homes by the beginning of September, at the beginning of autumn,” the premier Rama said.

In his remarks the Prime Minister Rama announced that, one of the contracts for the construction of individual houses has been postponed, as no companies appeared in the competition for construction of the individual houses, because the houses were in remote geographical points, in remote villages and this has made the companies to show no interest from the economic point of view.”

The Prime Minister Rama informed that residents who have not yet returned to their rebuilt home continue to receive the rent bonus.

“This is a good solution, because everyone is given the opportunity to live at home while the rent is paid by the state and the families are calmly waiting to return home,” the Prime Minister Rama said.

According to the premier Rama, initially, there have been over 12 thousand quake-affected families accommodated in tents, while today there are only 633 families in the tent. //a.i/
