In a reaction, the US Ambassador Kim published the statement of the State Department in 2018 publicly designating Albania Member of Parliament Tom Doshi under Section 7031 (c) of the FY 2017 Consolidated Appropriations Act, making him ineligible for entry into the United States, due to his involvement in significant corruption.

“As Albania’s election authorities prepare elections, it is worth recalling this designation, which was made by the US Secretary of State after careful review of information. Surely, Albania’s voters deserve better than this,” the US Ambassador to Albania, Yuri Kim stressed. //a.i/
