Prime Minister Edi Rama shared Sunday on social media some pictures of Puka, beautifully arranged to welcome tourists in winter and summer, which he described as “a gem in the middle of the north”.

There are a series of investments that have transformed beyond recognition the town in the northeast of the country, ranging from the complete reconstruction of the access roads leading to the hospital, the facades of the buildings near the town hall square to the creation of recreational spaces around the lake.

Also, works were carried out in the park in front of the former Tourism Hotel of the city.

The project for “Urban Requalification in Pukë Municipality – Second Phase”, was financed by the Albanian government and the Council of Europe Bank through the program “Works in the Community IV, Development of the Albanian Alps and the Coastal Area” implemented by the Albanian Development Fund.

This project comes on the heels of the 1st phase of the urban requalification of Pukë, which revitalized the alpine town, turning it into an up and coming tourist destination.
