Speaking to reporters in the southeastern city of Korça after a meeting with Mayor Sotiraq Filo, Huber was asked about the ongoing protest in Tirana against a planned tourism development project in Zvërnec.

“Through our development programme, we support the strengthening of democracy,” Huber said.

“We have long provided support to civil society, so democratic instruments and people’s participation in protests are an important element of any system, just as they are in our own system in Switzerland,” she added.
