The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, published the images of the violence against the blue uniforms in front of the municipality, where thanks to the response of one of the officers, the Molotov cocktail that exploded did not take any life.

Veliaj emphasizes that “the scenes of ’97 have no place in the 2024 Tirana. “Asllan Shyti averted the burning of his colleagues and himself. I don’t know him, nor does he know me. He went to work with his police colleagues outside, like his municipality colleagues inside. There’s no problem protesting when you’re the offspring of Sali Berisha and Fahri Balliu who burned this country down! It’s your right! But there is a lot of problem when you want to keep burning to compensate for the votes of the protesters who do not support you”.

“People have been working in the Municipality since the time Kelmendi and Brojka were at the helm. Police officers have also been and will be working on behalf of the state. The scenes of ’97 have no place in Tirana of 2024! God save Asllan and his friends with that reaction! Thanks to everyone”, writes Veliaj.
