Vata/ The organizers of the protests against the price hike have described the government’s measures to cope with the crisis as insufficient and announced on Friday that they will continue the protest on Saturday, March 19, in front of the govt. building.

The organizers reiterated the demands related to the abolition of circulation tax and the suspension of VAT on staples.

The protesters have set March 19 as the deadline for fulfillment of their demands.

“Our demands and proposals, which have been framed with all parties of interest take into account effective management of the crisis and functioning of the market. These measures are based on three main pillars: Reduction of fiscal burden, investigation and oversight for market functioning and support for business and those in need,” one of the organizers said.

They announced that on Saturday at 11:00hrs the march will start from “Scanderbeg” square to head towards the govt. building, warning escalation of protests unless their demands are met.
