TIRANA, Nov 15 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted Tuesday over the sentence handed down by the court on the poet Mimoza Ahmeti for illegal construction.

In a post on social media, Rama points out that “after a singer, there is also a poet who is being diligently punished by the Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana”.

PM says that “in the Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana, the files containing the indictments from state bodies for illegal constructions for the purpose of profit or for tax evasion worth millions of USD and for money laundering in millions of USD, sleep undisturbed”.

“It’s exactly the “kingdom of dwarfs” that body of justice with the weak and weakness towards the strong”, emphasized Rama.

Prime Minister Rama said that “certainly any construction without a permit is punishable by law, but the millimetric diligence in punishing those who breach the law on their property makes you want to puke in the face of the systematic inaction of the Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana vis a vis those who for profit purposes commit severe violations”.
The poet Ahmeti was sentenced by the court to perform 40 hours of work in the public interest.
