Experts from the Intellectual Property Offices of Germany, Denmark and Hungary, in addition to the presentation of European directives and standards in this field, shared the best practices and experiences from the Inspectorates of their countries in the protection of Intellectual Property rights.
The Deputy Director of ISHMT, Valbona Jaupllari, in her remarks at the opening of the workshop, emphasized that the work is focused on raising awareness for businesses and strengthening inter-institutional cooperation for protection of Intellectual Property.

Jaupllari pointed out that the activity of this institution is based on two main pillars, market surveillance and protection of Intellectual Property rights.

“Our aim is to efficiently carry out inspections for the implementation of Intellectual Property rights. For the January-September period of this year, 35 inspections were carried out for Industrial Property, 178 inspections on Copyright for the category of computer program users and publishing houses,” Jaupllari said.
Roger Hildebrandt, from the German Patent and Trademark Office Hildebrandt spoke about German best practices in the field of Intellectual Property. Also, Peter Labody, from the Intellectual Property Office of Hungary brought his experience on the administration of Intellectual Property rights. Even Janne Hedegaard, from the Patent Office, presented the principles of implementing Intellectual Property in the market and spoke about the importance of cooperation between institutions.

Promotion and education of society and institutions about Intellectual Property rights is very important to ensure that creators and innovators know their rights and know that their works, creations and innovations are protected and can be protected.
