The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, announced on Tuesday that they increased in quantity by 28.3%, compared to the same period last year.

The steady performance of the sector has also marked an increase in the value of agricultural exports, recording for the month of April, 9.5% more exports, compared to April 2023, said Denaj.

The favorable climate, the proximity to European markets, the opportunity to cover regional markets with untapped potential, as well as the low-cost workforce, make Albania a country with promising potential in several sectors, but especially in agriculture.

The main agricultural products that Albania exports are medicinal plants, fresh and processed vegetables, olive oil, essential oils, watermelons, livestock (domestic), canned fish and raw hides.
