The Chairman of the Public Procurement Commission, Jonaid Myzyri, during the hearing session in the Parliamentary Commission for Legal Issues, Public Administration, and Human Rights, for the review of the draft law “On the Budget for the Year 2025,” said that the current needs exceed the projected budget.

While emphasizing that the budget for salaries is sufficient, Myzyri said that he seeks support for the continuation of operations for handling electronic complaints and its maintenance.

“The funds for capital expenditures are insufficient,” said Myzyri.

“During 2024, the commission also paid a part of liquidation, so we are requesting funding for the remaining liquidation. With the changes in the law, the electronic complaints system needs necessary updates to stay up to speed with the technological developments,” Myzyri said.

Myzyri also requested support to consider the possibility of securing new workspaces.

Myzyri said that the Public Procurement Commission has saved the state budget 469 million lek this year.

“According to the reckonings done for the purpose of decision-making, from January to November of this year, the PPC has saved the state budget 469 million lek,” said Myzyri.
