Prime Minister Edi Rama shared moments on social media today from the event, which carried the legacy, elegance and passion of motoring over three days, drawing collectors and enthusiasts from Albania, the region and Europe.

The third edition of the Tirana Grand Prix—a landmark event for Albanian car enthusiasts—kicked off on October 2nd with a RETRO vehicle exhibition and the participation of key industry players.

This year’s edition reaffirmed the ambition to establish Albania as a focal point for the latest developments in the sector.

The event was accompanied by music, while attendees had the opportunity to visit exhibition areas showcasing vehicles from various brands.

Alongside the exhibition, the public enjoyed a packed schedule of events; highlights included the “Best Young Driver” competition—held on Friday and featuring young driving enthusiasts—and a spectacular parade of vehicles arriving from Italy to participate in the “Tirana Grand Prix.” Saturday saw the “Grand Prix” race take place, alongside an innovative parade where leading automotive brands showcased their latest technologies and their vision for the vehicles of the future.

Sunday brought the event to a thrilling close with the final stage of the race, the awards ceremony, and the closing parade.

At the opening ceremony, Kreshnik Bajraktari, General Director of the General Directorate of Road Transport Services, thanked the participants and sponsors, announcing that this year’s edition features 42 unique vehicles from Albania, Italy and the wider region. Designed as a true celebration, the event blends music and high energy to create a spectacular atmosphere, all while delivering the thrilling adrenaline rush of live car racing.

For the third consecutive year, the Tirana Grand Prix returns to the capital, cementing a new motorsport tradition and bringing fans closer to the racing world. Meanwhile, the square near the Palace of Congresses has become a hub for car enthusiasts and tourists, showcasing a stunning collection of vintage vehicles as part of the ‘Grand Tour Albania’ event.
