During presentation of the amendment to the law, Dhima explained that the initiative is about the proposal to extend the deadline validity of the privatization bonds until December 31, 2027.

Dhima stated that the initiative aims to provide a final solution to cases when the Albanian state has an obligation to return privatization bonds pursuant to a court decision. The amendment will also make it easy the privatization process for the former owners of the land, the entities that have a lease or lease contract and it will be useful in context of legalization of informal constructions through the State Cadastre Agency.

Dhima clarified that the initiative has been sent for consideration to the government and the relevant government ministries, which have expressed their agreement with the proposal made to postpone the deadline for the use of privatization bonds.

The privatization bonds have been used since 1995 for the privatization of state enterprises and the legalization of housing.

The Committee approved the privatization bonds deadline validity be extended up to December 31, 2027./r.e/p.s./

TIRANA, February 25/ATA/ The political leader of the Socialist Party for Fieri region Taulant Balla, stated today from Fier that justice is finally being done in this country although, according to him, it is delayed.

Balla was referring to the news that SPAK is investigating the history of the privatization of OSSH, ÇEZ and DIA. According to him, this is good news.

“Finally, there is a hope for the Albanians that justice in this country, even though delayed, is focusing on the most important issues that are the great challenge of present-day justice. It is the story of the privatization of the Albanian distribution OSSH company to the Czech power utility CEZ, a state-owned company that was sold without an inventory, i.e. without a cost of what was being sold. The Parliament of Albania set up an Investigative Commission on this issue and we have a report from that commission of inquiry, where we have reached the conclusion that in that privatization the Albanian state lost 418 million euros. And I believe that the news that SPAK is investigating the history of the privatization of OSSH, ÇEZ and DIA is good news and I hope that it will bring the matter to the end. This was one of those affairs which, not only in terms of value, but it is also an affair in which Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta acted together”, said Balla. /p.s./

TIRANA, February 25/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in the social media the third investigative documentary on privatization of the “Partizani” complex, which he described as, “The disappearance of the “Partizani” sports complex because of the transformation of the executive power into a machine of financial benefits”.

“The third series of the investigative documentary on the serious wrongdoing that wiped out the “Partizani” sports complex. One feels out of breath to see the transformation of the executive power into a machine of financial benefits,” Rama said.

According to the investigation of “Report” TV, Jamarbër Malltezi, son-in-law of the former prime minister Sali Berisha, is an investor of 11.5 million Euros in the other three towers in the former “Partizani” Complex area! What is the origin of money?

“In October 2006, Argita Berisha stated in a television interview that she and her husband Jamarbër Malltezi had only 39,500 dollars and 2,000 Euros in their bank account. On October 8, 2008, Jamarbër Malltezi signed an agreement taking over 35% of the construction of 17 towers of the Magnet complex, which costs tens of millions of Euros. In 2020, 3 more towers started, covering 50% of the investment. The investigation brought to light for the first time the financial accounts of Jamarbër Malltezi and secret documents that reveal how he managed to secure real estate worth billions, without having any formal financial availability that can justify them,”is said in the investigative documentary. /j.p/p.s./

Along with the video, Rama said that, “It is worth seeing how far those who have ruled you in the past go as they want to rule you again”.

The prime minister expressed the belief that the new justice will not leave them without giving an account.

“GOOD MORNING, with the apology that this affair could spoil the taste of the weekend, but with the conviction that it is worth seeing how far those who have ruled you and who want to rule you again go, sincerely wishing that, “The new justice, which has just begun to light the lights of hope after 100 years of darkness in the pit of injustice, will not leave them without giving an account, I wish you a peaceful weekend”, said Rama.

According to the Report TV investigation, in November 2005, just two months after taking office, Economy Minister Genc Ruli and Defense Minister Fatmir Mediu began privatization procedures for the largest sports center in the heart of the capital, measuring 26,000 square meters. which in the end was paid only 14,000 Euros. Dozens of towers of the Magnet 1 and Magnet 2 complexes have been built and are still being built on that land, which are worth 4,000 times more. Jamarber Malltezi, the son-in-law of former prime minister Berisha, is a co-owner with over 40% of the shares “./p.s./

TIRANA, Feb 18 /ATA/- Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted on Thursday following the publication of new facts which show how former Prime Minister Sali Berisha privatized the largest sports hub in the capital, the “Partizani” complex, to the advantage of his family.

In his reaction, Rama expresses his conviction that the new institutions of justice which, according to him, have begun to shine the light of hope after 100 years of injustice, will throw light on this case.
PM calls this case an appalling story of wrongdoing against the state, property and society.

“GOOD MORNING, and with this very interesting investigative documentary by Report TV, raising the question how far this mishmash goes, since this is only one of the three series of the documentary, as well as hoping that the new justice institutions, which have started to shine the light of hope in justice in this country after 100 years of injustice, will solve in the light of the law such an appalling story of wrongdoing against the state, property, society, I wish you a good day, ” says Rama.

A Report Tv broadcast published some facts which show, among others, how Sali Berisha-led government privatized the” Partizani “complex advantaging some people represented by his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi.

“Two months after taking charge, the Minister of Defense Fatmir Mediu started the privatization procedures of the largest sports hub encompassing 26,000 square meters, for which only 14,000 euros were paid. Dozens of high-rise buildings worth 4,000 times more have been built and are still being built in this area, according to Report TV, where Jamarbër Malltezi, the son-in-law of former Prime Minister Berisha, is a co-owner with over 40% of the shares. ”
