TIRANA, March  13 /ATA/- By Maela Marini/ Prime Minister Edi Rama called Monday on private enterprise to increase the salaries of employees not to risk the drain of human capital.

In the presentation of Tirana’s development strategy, Rama said that the private enterprise should reflect on salary increase without wasting time.

“Economizing more than necessary and leaving behind what are actually the first, the salaries for own employees, making a gaping hole that if we don’t hurry to close it today, it will become insurmountable barrier in a few more years. A hole that comes as a result of the drain of human capital,” said Rama.

According to him, “the enterprise cannot continue to give its employees a part of the salary through the bank and a part in hand.”

“Entrepreneurs cannot continue to do everything, even beyond everything necessary for themselves and their families and not for their employees. Today, only the last alarm, the drain of human resources, has begun to reverberate. What was a problem until yesterday, today risks turning into an incurable condition. Imagine the pressure Albania could be under in a period of time, no more than a few years. So everyone should run more today. Now is the time to do what we cannot do, the impossible, we have done this as a government and ruling majority”, said Rama.

He emphasized that the enterprise must do everything it can today, without waiting for tomorrow, so that the salary levels, which have recently increased much more than for years and years in the private sector, are formalized.
