During the forum “Women, Peace and Security – a perspective from the Western Balkans”, Minister Xhaçka gave a summary of the situation on women’s rights and their inclusion in public life, while suggesting important steps to ensure the objectives of this agenda.

As an elected member of the Security Council, Albania aims to contribute to maintaining and strengthening the multilateral order based on addressing global challenges and promoting peace and security.

“One of the Albanian government priorities during the two-year term is the rights of women and girls, as we are convinced that building and maintaining peace can be achieved through women involvement. We strongly believe that women’s rights and their voices are essential to human rights, democracy, security and prosperity,” the Minister Xhaçka said. //a.i/
