TIRANA, Nov  8  /ATA/ President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, appealed on Tuesday to the leaders of Kosovo to maintain calm and continue the dialogue.

In a media briefing from the city of Kukës, where he is on a visit, Begaj also touched on the situation in the north of Kosovo.

“My message to the Kosovo authorities is to keep calm. Continue the dialogue, because issues are solved only by means of dialogue,” said Begaj.

“The overall global security situation has been disrupted. As you know, Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified attack on Ukraine has had an impact on entire security situation in the Western Balkan region, which is calm but very fragile in my opinion and at any time it risks heating up,” emphasized Begaj.

“We as Albanians, as a nation, must keep calm, we must not fall prey to provocations and show that we act with  civility, we are against  war, but we stand for peace and as such we must contribute as much as possible to problem solving only through dialogue ,” Begaj said. /j.p/sm/
