TIRANA, Jan 16 /ATA/ Minister of Interior Ervin Hoxha visited Prague on an official trip, heading a delegation made up of senior officials from the State Police and the Agency for Seized and Confiscated Assets (AAPSK). During the visit, he was welcomed by Vit Rakusan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the Czech Republic.

The two ministers shared assessments regarding the level of political dialogue, with the Czech Republic ranking among the countries that provide unwavering support for the country’s EU integration.

Minister Hoxha described the meeting as very productive and friendly.

“I have just concluded a friendly meeting with the Minister of Interior of the Czech Republic, who assured me of the support that the Czech Republic will provide for our country’s EU membership. On this visit, I was accompanied by the General Director of the Police, to deepen the cooperation between our two police forces. We jointly appreciated the Albanian community living in the Czech Republic, a well-integrated community that serves as a bridge between our two peoples.”

The Czech counterpart welcomed the invitation to visit Albania in early June, a time that coincides with the opening of the tourist season, when a significant number of tourists come from the Czech Republic,” Hoxha told the media.

Another key area of collaboration between the two countries is the confiscation and recovery of assets derived from criminal activity. Chief Administrator Risena Xhaja held talks with her Czech counterparts to exchange experiences and receive support and guidance.
