TIRANA, March 26/ATA/ National Cyber Security Authority reports that a March 25, 2026 cyber incident affected the Albanian Post’s IT system, but preliminary checks show no data was compromised and services were not disrupted.

“Following the notification, the Authority activated its operational procedures, assembling a specialized team of cybersecurity experts,” according to the statement.”, stated the Authority.

According to Authority, their team immediately collaborated with Albanian Post technicians to conduct a deep-dive analysis, identify indicators of compromise (IOCs), and examine critical system logs. They rapidly isolated affected systems to contain the breach and secure the infrastructure against further impact.

The Authority advised the Albanian Post to temporarily halt specific services for a security analysis, which were subsequently, voluntarily taken offline.

“Currently, all public services have been restored and are functional for the public. We are evaluating the validity of recently leaked data. Preliminary forensic analysis suggests that the volume of exfiltrated data remains low”, it is further emphasized.

National Cyber Security Authority condemns any act that violates critical information infrastructures and remains committed to guaranteeing the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information technology systems in the Republic of Albania.

The Authority emphasized that it will update the public in a transparent manner on further developments and will publish a final report after the conclusion of the analysis. /j.p/p.s./

TIRANA, October 30/ATA/ Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku present today Etjen Xhafaj to his new position as Director General of the Albanian Post.

During her speech, Minister Balluku highlighted the significance of the Albanian Post present with its affiliated enterprises throughout the country, with 533 active offices that provide thousands of postal services every day.

She emphasized that the Post is one of the most vital state-owned companies, offering both postal and financial services.

Balluku also focused on the innovation reforms of recent years, which, according to her, have significantly transformed the Albanian postal service.

“Today, the Post offers 51 financial services and 20 postal services, carrying out around 65 thousand financial and 70 thousand postal transactions every day. The government is committed to improve human capital, as technology can be developed, but human capacities are irreplaceable”, emphasized the minister.

Balluku emphasized that Albania is at a key moment in the process of EU accession negotiations and that every institution must make its contribution to this process. She added that innovation and Artificial Intelligence must be personalized according to the needs of different groups of citizens.

Balluku also emphasized the preservation of the tradition of philately, as an important part of the cultural and historical heritage of the Albanian Post.

“Philately is an asset that must be protected and developed, both in terms of stamp issuance and in the museum dimension. The post office plays an important role as a bridge between the public, private and individual sectors, but we must ensure that philately remains a special value of the institution,” concluded Balluku. /r.e/a.f/p.s./

TIRANA, Nov 13 /ATA/ – The village of Dardhe, situated at an altitude of 1344 meter and around 20 km southeast of the city of Korça, has become an idyllic winter destination with an ever growing potential for development of local tourism and economy.

Included in the government’s 100 Villages Program, Dardha has also become a destination of brand new investments, including a ski resort, as well as a winter resort complex, which will unleash the area’s sleeping potential to turn into a major income source for local households’ economy.

Prime Minister Edi Rama posted Saturday images of the village of Dardhe, describing it a lively tourist destination.

The well-preserved stone homes highlight a proud village that has been left largely untouched over time. In addition to them, new buildings and contemporary hotels have been constructed over past years. A museum has been set up in Dardhë, featuring the village’s history and heritage.

This mountainous village is nestled among mountains and forests with rare natural beauty.

The green fields, fresh summer days and cold snowy winters make Dardha a popular tourist destination throughout the year. Winter sports, especially skiing, attract many tourists to Dardha. In the spring, summer and fall it is a popular destination for hikers, whether coming for a stroll or longer treks.
