“Such projects will create new and high paying jobs. Two major ports, namely the new tourist port and the cargo harbor in Porto Romano will be built here n Durres,” PM Rama said.

The government head underlined that process is already underway for construction of the two ports.

“The construction site is being opened at the tourist port and the construction works will kick off soon intensively. In the meantime, the international tender has been launched for construction of the cargo port. It is an ambitious project to turn Durres into a gateway to the whole region and the regional trade,” PM Rama stated.

The Premier noted that the process is also underway about plans to build a NATO naval base at Porto Romano, a port under construction on its Adriatic coast.
