TIRANA, Sept  26 /ATA/ On lot 3 of the Porto Romano-Durrës road, an important segment that facilitates access to the new cargo port and the entire economic zone, work will kick off on the asphalt layers.

PM Edi Rama shared Monday on social media views of the construction of this road.

Rama said that in the construction site of the Porto Romano-Durrës road, lot 3, the track formation has been completed together with the underground infrastructure to be followed by the asphalt laying works.

“With the opening of this axis, the traffic in Durrës will be significantly eased, since the traffic of vehicles will no longer pass through the city center, but will be directly connected to the overpasses,” Rama said.

This lot, 3.3 km long, is an investment as part of the Energy and Industrial Park of Porto Romano as well as the developing free zones facilitating the circulation of vehicles.

The construction of this road axis will affect land plots in the local area belonging to the residents of the area with a total of 124 residents set to be expropriated under this project.
