At the ceremony organized on the occasion of launching this portal, Rama said that it will provide information on markets, prices, food tests, active support schemes and financing instruments, veterinary care, the offer of agricultural pharmacies, the typology of collectors, opportunities of land for rent, legislation in force and many other information, supporting the farmers in their daily life.
The Prime Minister emphasized that what makes the difference in the rural development sector is information.

“Improvement of enterprises, continuous growth of production are closely related to information, which makes the difference in all other necessary elements, but without information a lot goes to waste. We have witnessed a tough period in this sector as a country, because we went from a completely centralized agriculture based on state property, the compulsory organization of cooperatives to an agriculture where everyone worked on his own,” he said.

Today, Rama continued, “we are in an intermediate stage between that period and what we should aim for, and what we should aim for is strengthening capacities, increasing human capital, enhancing the ability to absorb funding and process information.”
“Definitely along with it, the increased ability to access different funding, from state funding to European funding, to donor funding, and so on, and I’m absolutely convinced that the reason you’re here, and why you along with others, but not all, are standing out in this phase of rural development of the country, is because you have improved your capacities to identify and understand what you need to do in the next step,” the Prime Minister said.

Rama expressed his conviction that the farmer’s portal will be very much of service to its users, because they will gain independence from all the impediments, impossibilities or even from misinformation, distortion of facts that does not always happen on purpose.
“They will rely on a real-time database of all the components of rural development, to work with that database, to study that database and to learn from that database,” he said.
