This is what PM Edi Rama said during a meeting with the citizens of Kamza.

“I have received feedback such as it is crazy to build four airports in a small country like Albania. But Croatia with a population of 4 million inhabitants has 9 airports and ranks the seventh in the world for tourism. Croatia has become a champion in tourism which creates jobs for entire generations and generates income that have a direct impact on welfare of all the families,” Rama said.

PM said that “in this upcoming term we will open up new gateways to Albania from the sea and the sky, Kukës airport is ready to operate, we will also build the airports of Vlora and Saranda. We will build the big tourist port of Durrës, Vlora, Saranda that are underway and that of Shengjin, as well as two new commercial ports in Durrës and Vlora. ”

They are not part of the electoral program, Rama continued, they are not promises, they are information for you, work plans for processes that have been launched and will enable us in the next 4-5 years to work the way up to the Balkan champion in tourism.

“We have increased threefold the number of hotels in Albania, the number of tourists has increased, yet it falls short of our expectations and the more visitors come the more they will be fascinated by our country,” – said Rama.
