TIRANA, June 13/ATA/ The task force on implementation of the normative act for treatment of polluted waters by entities operating near bathing waters, continues to exert controls throughout the country, with a special focus on the coastal tourist area, where there is concentrated the largest number of service units.

To increase the transparency of this entire process, the inspectors were also equipped with body cameras, while more than 400 subjects were controlled in just one week.

Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku, together with Director of the National Agency of Waterworks and Sewage Klevis Jahaj and Mayor of Vlora Ermal Dredha were in the area of Radhima where the entities have already started with installation of plants for treatment of polluted water.

Director Jahaj announced that the objects of the control are not only the entities near the bathing waters which are in operation and operate in the service sector, but also the facilities under construction must have a solution for the treatment of polluted waters.

Radhima and Dhërmiu are the two areas where the process has advanced at a very good pace and already a large part of the entities have installed wastewater treatment plants. There are 5 Taskforce teams on the ground to monitor the situation.

Balluku reiterated that there will be no tolerance for anyone who abuses, as this initiative aims to improve the quality of service to all holidaymakers, further promoting the development of tourism.

For his part, Mayor Dredha said that in the area of Vlora this normative act has found the understanding of the subjects, as a step for further increasing the quality of tourism./r.e/p.s./
