In a statement, the EU underscored the fundamental importance of preserving the independence and integrity of judicial institutions in Albania.

The EU Delegation stated that attacks on SPAK not only threaten the effectiveness of anti-corruption efforts but also undermine the foundations of democratic governance and the rule of law.

“Attacks or intimidation against members of the judiciary are unacceptable in democracy,” the EU Delegation said in a statement via the social media X.

“We support the High Prosecutorial Council in condemning the recent unacceptable public statements  against SPAK,” the Delegation stated.
